The Truth

July 14, 2008 UPDATE

This is the latest update of this page.

The U.S. Coast Guard has announced that it will consolidate three separate large business contracts (PQEB, SSEB and Call Center) currently being performed by ATS and PSI into one  "Omnibus" contract  which will be awarded to one, single SMALL BUSINESS prime contractor.  No large business can win the contract as prime contractor.

The Straight Scoop from USGC:

USGC, Inc. is competing for the NMC-5 Omnibus contract (PQEB, SSEB, MICC) as a prime contractor.  USGC is a SMALL BUSINESS.  It is our intent to bid to win the Omnibus contract with the goal to take over 100% of the current operations, including 100% of the current personnel, from the large business prime contractor incumbents and their subcontractors.

If you are employed by one of those contractors, then we want you to know that we would welcome having you as part of the USGC team!

Jack Savage and Pat Cresta-Savage are our owners and officers.  Many of you have already met them.

If USGC wins, USGC plans  a smooth transition from the current LARGE BUSINESS prime contractors  to USGC.  We fully intend to hire all staff personnel from the current contractors and subcontractors who wish to join the USGC team. If you are one of them, you will be offered  a comparable position on the new contract  on "day one".  USGC will provide you with compensation  that is at or above your current salary, and a benefits package that is equal to or better than the ones currently being provided by the incumbent large businesses and their small business subcontractors.

In other words, if you join USGC's team, pay and benefits will not be an issue.  Period.  Don't let anyone tell you any different or try to scare you into believing something else.

If you would like to talk to Jack Savage or someone else at USGC confidentially about employment at USGC, please call 410-268-4005.  When you call, ask for Jack, Pat or anyone else by name, and leave your phone number.  We will call you back confidentially.  We promise.
